Hoodia
gordonii and Your Daily Nutrition
Hoodia-Healthy Weight Loss-Sensible Nutrition and A Low Calorie Diet:
1. Calories:
Eat too many calories, and we all know what happens.
Eat too few calories and you reduce your metabolic
rate falls so low, losing real weight becomes a real
uphill struggle. The key-is in striking the
right balance.
2. Protein:
You need enough protein to build muscle mass, maintain
healthy skin, hair and nails and feed your brain.
Protein also increases your body's metabolic burn
rate-provided that you consume less than 40 grams
per meal.
3. Carbohydrates: Contrary to popular beliefs carbs
are not inherently bad for you. A daily serving
of fruits and vegetables does a body good. The culprit
is excess consumption of refined carbs in the form
of breads, cookies, etc.
4. Fat:
Like carbs, daily consumption of the right kinds
of fats is part of a healthy diet. Fact is, some fats
are downright essential for good health
and for losing weight. Just remember to not to consume too much (less
than 12 grams per day), and avoid consuming hydrogenated
fats of any kind. This is the type that clogs your arteries
and brings your weight loss to a screeching halt.
5. Water:
Whether it's Hoodia or any other, all diets agree
on one thing: Water helps weight loss. Researchers
in Germany recently measured the resting metabolism
of 14 men and women before and after they drank
16 ounces of water. It took only 10 minutes for
their metabolism to rise. And, after 40 minutes
their average calorie burning rate increased by
over 30%-and stayed elevated for more than one hour.
Dinking a minimum of 6-8 glasses
of water each day while taking Hoodia is an excellent
idea. This dramatically lowers the chance of constipation
and dehydration which Hoodia sometimes causes.
6. Other ways to keep your metabolism going:
Having deprived your body of nutrition through the
night while you sleep, you should always eat a
low-carb, high-protein breakfast within 2 hours
of waking. Also, while sodas and "sugar-free"
beverages may help for short periods, within minutes
the "fix" will be over. Insulin levels drop and
you soon begin to feel drained, tired, hungry.
Make every effort to replace sodas
and other beverages with water instead.
Having difficulty keeping carbs low?
Using
Hoodia to lose weight by keeping calories low is
great, but if you want to be wildly successful you
need to eat no more than 40 and 60 grams of carbs
per day. For many, this requires a decrease in carb
consumption. If you are sedentary, keep to the low
end of the guideline. If you are doing 30 minutes
of aerobics or power walking 3-4 times per week,
the high end of the range is okay. However, if you
do not partake in enough daily physical activities
to prevent excess carbs from slowing your weight
loss, you may find it convenient to supplement
with CarboridT
Ultra Carb Blocker instead.
Follow these nutritional and dietary guidelines to the
best of your ability, and you will not only achieve
tremendous weight loss with Hoodia, you'll also
find it surprisingly easy to
succeed!
